8th International Symposium on Nuclear Symmetry Energy (NuSYM2018)
Busan, South Korea, September 10 - 13, 2018



NuSYM18 will concentrate on the advances in experimental and theoretical studies of the nuclear Equation of State of asymmetric nuclear matter. An important role of the conference is to unite the efforts of the nuclear physics and astrophysics communities in solving their common problems.
The program will cover the current state of research and the anticipated development trends in various centers and facilities in the world. The symposium will provide a convenient space and time for discussions of burning experimental and theoretical problems and of the future directions as well as to form collaborations and to advance inter-related research fields.

[2018.08.29] The rates for room including weekend at Hanwha Resort is uploaded in "Accomodation".

[2018.08.22] The program of the Transport Workshop has been uploaded(Program). The venue of the Trasport Workshop has been changed from Pusan National University to Hanwha Resort, the same as NuSYM18.


[2018.08.18] The program has been updated. Please check the time for your presentation and duty for the session chair. If you have not send us your title and abstract, please do so as soon as possible. 

[2018.08.18] All participants who asked the reservation at Hanwha Resort will be accomodated as requested. *** We heard some cases of fraud phone calls. We confirm that all requsted participants will stay at Hanwha Resort, and we will not ask your credit card number until you check in. Any request or question on your accomodation should be directed to the organizer. ***

[2018.07.30] The program is revised. Any comments should be sent to the local organizer (
bhong@korea.ac.kr).

[2018.07.20] The current program is uploaded in "Scientific program" and "Timetable". All authors are asked to check the program and inform us (bhong@korea.ac.kr) any request on changes.

[2018.06.29] The web server for NuSYM2018 will be down from evening of Friday, June 29 to morning of Monday, July 2 in Korean Time for the system upgrade. The deadline for abstract submission will be extended by a week until July 7, 2018.

[2018.06.28] There will be a two-day Transport Workshop in September 14-15 (right after NuSYM2018) in Pusan National University. If you plan to participate in the Transport Workshop, please register in the NuSYM2018 homepage and indicate your intention in the arrival and departure dates. (It is possible for you to participate only in the Transport Workshop.) If you want to give a presentation in the Transport Workshop, please submit your abstract also in the NuSYM2018 homepage. (In the top of the abstract submission page, you will be asked whether your abstract is for NuSYM2018 or Transport Workshop. 

[2018.06.09] If you (especially, the Chinese participant) need an invitation letter for visa, please request it to bhong@korea.ac.kr as early as possible after you complete the registration.

[2018.06.09] We are going to have a two-day Transport Workshop in September 14-15 in Busan. If you plan to participate in the Transport Workshop in addition to NuSYM18, please indicate your plan when you register at the homepage.

[2018.05.03] For those of you who cannot access the abstract submission page (in google doc format), please send us (nusym18@nuclear.korea.ac.kr) your abstract either in latex or word file. The minimum contents are (1) title, (2) autor list and affiliation(s), (3) your email address, (4) abstract, (5) your preference (oral or poster).
